Julia Yancy


Julia Yancy is a Master of Social Work Intern at Simmons University with over four years of experience in the mental health field. She is passionate about increasing awareness and reducing stigma surrounding mental health and takes a holistic, person-centered approach that recognizes each individual’s unique experiences, strengths, and needs.

Julia’s clinical experience includes working as a Therapeutic Mentor supporting high-acuity children and adolescents and as a Community Support Provider supporting high-acuity adults. She is particularly interested in working with teens and young adults and expanding her knowledge of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

Julia currently serves as an Operations Manager at a Community Behavioral Health Center, overseeing day-to-day operations. Across her clinical and leadership experiences, she is committed to fostering a compassionate, inclusive, and supportive environment for individuals seeking mental health care.
