Matthew Griffin is a board-certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) who has worked in Psychiatry in multiple different capacities. He started his medical career as a Nursing Assistant in Geriatric Psychiatry while in his undergrad. Soon after graduating from Bridgewater State University in 2016, with a Bachelors in Health, he went on to a Physician Assistant graduate program. He graduated with his Masters in Physician Assistant Studies from New York Institute of Technology in 2020 and soon after began his Psychiatric Physician Assistant career.

Matt began his PA career working in Addiction Psychology where he specialized in Addiction Medicine and General Psychiatry. He performed comprehensive assessments of patients with both addiction and psychiatric conditions. He managed their medications and assisted in their overall care to help ensure their sobriety and medical/psychological wellbeing. Matthew also has experience in Urgent Care Medicine and Infectious Disease. He still works part time in the Urgent Care setting.

Matt’s clinical area of focus includes the treatment of mood disorders, ADHD and anxiety. He mainly works with the adult population, but is available to see adolescent patients.

Matt’s goal is to make sure his patients feel comfortable and understood. He works with his patients to help attain their mental health goals both pharmacologically and therapeutically. He is available for telehealth video visits and in person visits.
